Binnacle Films is a Toronto and Los Angeles-based creative consultancy and production label
Christina is a Canadian-South African producer and founder of Binnacle Films. She is LA-based and currently works as a Producer at Dan Bekerman’s Good Question Media, supporting a slate of diverse films across development, production, legal & business affairs.
Christina is a producer of upcoming features The Eden Express and To The Wedding.
Christina has worked on several features as Associate Producer that will see 2023 releases including; The Dead Don’t Hurt [TIFF 2023] (dir. Viggo Mortensen, starring Vicky Krieps), Close to You [TIFF 2023](dir. Dominic Savage, starring Elliot Page) and Longing (dir. Savi Gabizon, starring Richard Gere and Diane Kruger).
She also served as a Business Affairs Associate on Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla [Venice 2023] , Susanna Fogel’s Winner [Sundace 2024] and Megan Park’s My Old Ass [Sundance 2024].
Christina Post-Produced Rosalind Morris’s South African feature documentary We Are Zama Zama which saw its festival premiere at Encounters International Film Festival in June 2021. The partner project The Zama Zama Project was selected in the Berlinale Expanded Forum 2021.
Previously, Christina worked for leading international distributor, Entertainment One, in London where she supported the UK theatrical release campaigns for over 40 films including Spotlight (Tom McCarthy), Arrival (Denis Villeneuve), The Girl on the Train (Tate Taylor), Jackie (Pablo Larraín), I, Daniel Blake (Ken Loach), The BFG (Steven Spielberg), Captain Fantastic (Matt Ross), and 20th Century Women (Mike Mills).
Christina holds an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University and a BA from McGill University. She has also completed film courses at University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and partook in the La Fémis Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris. Christina is a 2022 BAFTA Newcomer.
